Introduction
The Seventh Grade Social Studies course is designed
as an in-depth study of geography. We will delve into
the science that describes the physical and cultural features
of Earth. Studying geography will help us make connections
between what was, what is, and what may occur in our world.
Objectives
Using a variety of resources and practice, students will be able to:
select appropriate resources and geographic tools to interpret information.
apply location, direction, and size to maps.
identify characteristics of different locations, places and regions.
identify population distribution, growth rates cultural characteristics.
identify natural environmental changes that impact regions.
explain how humans impact and are affected by the natural environment.
discuss how human migration impacts politics, environment and regions.
Grading Categorization
Assignments: 50% of your grade will be based upon assignments and projects.
Tests and quizzes: 50% of your grade is comprised of tests and quizzes.

A 93 – 100
B 85 - 92
C 77 - 85
D 70 - 76
F 69 or below
